Supplies needed:
PSP - I used X2 but this will work in any version
Tube & optional Close Up of your choice, by the same artist
Font/s of your choice
Eye Candy 5: Impact - Gradient Glow
Mura's - Tone
DSB Flux - Linear Transmission
Penta.com - Colour Dot
Mask 216 by Vix, (Under Goodies, then Masks, 12th June set) here

I used the awesome artwork of Ismael Rac
You will need a license from ami to use his work
Please do not Ismael's work without purchasing a license first.

Open CM_Template_01_byS0S, press shift + D to duplicate
Close the original
Delete the Copyright layer
Image, Resize by 85% Bicubic/Weighted Average, all layer checked
Increase the canvas size to 650 x 650, central placement
Activate the Background layer and put the opacity to 100
Flood fill with white

Activate the Inner Rectangle layer
Copy and paste your tube as a new layer
Resize by 85% Bicubic/Weighted Average, All layer UNchecked
Position the left hand side of your template
Duplicate your tube
Move the original tube layer above your background layer
Rename this one Back Tube
Rename the duplicate Top Tube

Working on your top tube
Select your freehand selection tool, with these settings:
Selection Type - Point to Point / Mode - Add (Shift) / Feather & Smoothing - 0 / Anti- Alias - Checked
Lower the opacity of your top tube to about 45% for now
Carefully draw a selection around any parts of your tube that are outside the solid semi-circle
You want your selection to go in the space between the outer semi circle and the inner semi circle




Put the opacity of your Top Tube back to 100%
Press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None
Activate your Bottom Tube
With your freehand selection tool (same settings)
Carefull select the part of the tube that is outside the Lower Outer Semi Circle




Press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None

Set your foreground to a light colour from your tube
Set your background to a dark colour from your tube
Make a note of these 2 colours we will be using them throughout this tutorial
Change your foreground to gradient
Fore/Back Gradient with these settings:




Activate Upper Inner Semi Circle
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Add a new layer, name it Semi Fill
Flood fill with your gradient
DO NOT DE-SELECT
Hide the original Merged layer for now

Add a new raster layer
Efects, Plugins, Mura's, Tone choose the Grid preset
Selections, None
With the tone layer active
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Add a new raster lyer, name it Tone
Click on your materials palette and select Invert on your gradient




Flood fill your Tone layer
Selections, None
Delete the original black tone layer

Copy and paste your tube or close up as new layer
Image, Mirror
Position on the right hand side of the template
Duplicate this layer
On the duplicate
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur - radius set to 6
Change the blend to Soft Light
Activate the original
Change the blend mode to Luminace (Legacy)
Select the Merged layer (grey semi circles)
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Selections, Invert
Activate the tube with the Luminance blend mode, press delete on your keyboard
Activate the soft light tube and press delete on your keyboard
Selections, None

Hide all layers except Semi Fill, Tone, and the 2 tubes we changed the blend mode on
Layers, Merge, Merge Visible
Rename 1
Duplicate twice and rename the duplicates 2 & 3
On layer 3 (which should be the top copy)
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur - radius set to 6
Change the blend to Soft Light
Select the Merged layer (grey semi circles)
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Selections, Modify, Feather by 4 pixels
Selections, Invert
Activate 3 and press delete
Activate 2 and press delete
Selections, None
Activate 1
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur - radius set to 6
Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux, Linear Transmission




Move 1 down to above your background
You can now delete the merged (grey semi circle) layer
Unhide the other layers

Activate your Lower Outer Semi Circle layer
Using your manual colour correction tool
Note: to find this tool, go to View, Customise
Under unused commands find Manual Colour Correction and drag in onto your toolbar

Change the colour of this layer to your light colour
Activate your Upper Outer Semi Circle layer
Change the colour of this layer to your dark colour
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Rename Outer Circle
Duplicate, move the duplicate below your bottom tube
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur - radius set to 6
Effects, Plugins, DSB Flux, Linear Transmission

Activate Inner Rectangle
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Add a new raster layer, Name it Rectangle
Flood fill with your gradient (leave it inverted)
Selections, None
Dupicate, on the original
Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur - radius set to 6
Activate the duplicate
Layers, Merge, Merge Down
Delete the original Inner Rectange layer

Activate your Outer Rectangle
Using your manual colour correction tool again
Change the colour to your light colour
Grab your selection tool with these settings:
Selection Type - Rectangle / Mode Add (Shift) / Feather - 0 / Anti-Alias - checked
Draw a selection around the part of the outer rectangle that is to the left of your tube




Change this part to your dark colour
You want the outer rectangle to be the opposite on the gradient on the inner rectangle
Selections, None

Activate the Text Fill layer
Selections, All, Float, Defloat
Add a new raster layer name it T Fill
Flood fill with your gradient - uninvert 1st
The gradient for the text fill should be opposite of the rectangle fill
Selections, None
Duplicate
On the duplicate
Effects, Plugins, Penta.com, Colour Dot




Chnage the blend mode to screen
Activate the Text outline
Change the colour for a dark colour from your tube - I left mine black
Now add a drop shadow of choice - I used




Repeat the drop shadow again

Activate the background layer
Add a new raster layer
Flood fill with your gradient - keep invert unchecked
Layers, Load/Save mask, Load mask from disk



Layers, Merge, Merge Group

Activate your top layer in the layer palette
Grab your text tool and choose a font - I use Miss Lankfort (pay font)
Set your foreground to null
Background to your dark colour
Create as vector and anti-alias both checked
Type out your name
Use the nodes to stretch it out if needed
Position where happy
When happy with the size and placement, convert to rater
Effects, Plugins, Eye Candy 5: Impact, Gradient Glow




Set the 2nd colour of your glow to your light colour
Add a drop shadow of choice - I used




Set the colour to your dark colour
Add your artists copyrights and own taggers watermark as a new layer
Crop any excess off your canvas
You can now either save as a jpg or
Delete the white Background and save as a png
All done :)
